Sciatica is defined as an inflammation of the supporting tissues of the nerves of the leg. This condition is characterized by a pain running from the lumbar region to the rear of the legs. Sciatica pains – felt in either one or both of the legs – are usually experienced after the age of 30, and continue aggravating because the age advances.

Heavy meals must be avoided as they take an extended time to digest. This might exert undue pressure on the lower back region. Do some light sciatica exercises like light walking and jogging. Don’t exercise if your condition is extremely painful. Taking hot and cold compresses on an alternate basis is often quite helpful in relieving pain.
