Registration:
1) Upon arrival everyone must register at the international office in the ashram.
2) After coming to Amrita Ayurveda hospital you have to register in the reception counter paying minimal charge and collect the patient registration card.
3) From the registration counter your are guided to the concerned doctor based on the illness.
4) According to the complaint panchakarma treatments are adviced. Written letter with main complaint and treatment advice is given to patient hand
Patient should meet dr. br. Susheela vishuddhi panchakarma clinic in ashram around 4.00 to 5.30 pm and facilities also provide the estimated treatment costs + The stay at the hospital shall incur additional expenditure of accommodation, food and internal medication.
5) Written paper should be submit in the international office and pay the bill collect the receipt
6) Produce same receipt in the billing section of the amrita ayurveda hospital
PREPARING FOR YOUR ADMISSION :
• Ip admission can be done only after obtaining written consent by dr. susheela & doctor of amrita ayurveda hospital.
• Billing Department shall brief each patient about all Hospital formalities and facilities and also provide the estimated treatment costs
• Patient is required to pay the estimated treatment cost before getting admitted
• In case of extension or alteration of treatment, patient is required to pay the amount intimated, prior the commencement of the treatment.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
•A list of all the medications you are taking
• Personal toiletries
• Contact lens, eyeglasses, dentures, or hearing aid case
WHAT NOT TO BRING
•Valuables and jewellery. We cannot accept responsibility for valuables left at your bedside
• Cigarettes or pipes or any intoxicants. AIMS is a smoke and liquor-free facility
DOCTORS ROUND
Round the clock medical care is available for any emergencies.
Consultants will take rounds in the morning hours between 9 am – 11 am.
Night duty doctor will take rounds between 7 pm – 9 pm.
For any emergency, call Nursing Station No: 239 or Telephone Exchange No: 9
Any queries regarding treatment can be clarified only with the consulting doctor.
TREATMENT
Duration and change of treatment (s) or medicine are decided by the doctors alone.
Treatments other than Panchakarma like Lepa, Traction etc., will be done by Nursing Staff in the room itself and the schedules are decided by the doctors. Inconvenience, if any, should be discussed with the doctors alone.
Bystanders are not permitted inside the Panchakarma treatment areas.
It is mandatory for the patient to stay within the premises during hospital stay.
MEDICINES
• Oral medicines will be given to patients as per the instructions of the doctor from Nursing counter.
• Any change in the medicine or schedule is permitted only through doctors instructions.
• The cost of the medicines will vary depending on the medicines and dosages and is charged accordingly. Medicines for bystanders will not be provided from nursing counter. It can be purchased from the OP
Pharmacy between 8.30 am – 5.00 pm
NURSING CARE
There will be regular Temperature and BP checkup at the following timings:
Morning – 6 am to 9 am. Afternoon – 2 pm – 4 pm.
Night – 7 pm – 9 pm.
If instructed by the attending Doctor, routine x-rays and checks of Blood, Urine. Motion, Phlegm etc. shall be carried out.
FOR YOUR COMFORT
Each room is provided with an intercom facility & TV.
24 hrs water supply is available in bathroom.
Laundry service, telephone & fax services are available and are chargeable extra.
Electricity is backed up by generator round the clock.
Toiletries & mosquito repellents should be brought by the patient himself.
Bed sheet & bed spreads are changed once in 2 days unless instructed by the attending Doctor. Only hospital bed sheets & bed spreads can be used in the hospital (applicable for bystanders also).
Please switch off the light & fans when not in use.
Please lock the room while going out. The patient is advised to safeguard the valuables brought by them. The hospital is not responsible for loss of any valuables.
For your personal banking needs, Dhanalakshmi Bank is presently located near the Casualty entrance in Tower 6, Ground floor from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on all bank working days.

Code of conduct
The following points will give you an ubnderstanding about hospital life and we kindly ask you to follow this way of life during your stay.
• out of respect for the Indian tradition, please refrain from public displays of affection. Hugging , kissing, holding hands etc. is anappropriate.
• Smoking cigarettes , drinking alcohol and using illicit drugs are strictly forbidden both on and off the hospital premises while you are a registered guest here.
• Please wear clean, modest clothing that covers both the arms and legs and the body in a way that is appropriate for the ashram environment, I e no shorts or sleeveless shirts.
• Observing silence and minimizing speech keeps us focused inwards
FOOD
Only vegetarian food is provided for Patients and bystanders.
The charge for normal diet of patient is included in the room rent.
Bystander’s food is provided at extra cost.
Outside food is not allowed within the hospital premises even for bystanders.
Any Special diet prescribed by the doctor is provided through kitchen / Hitahara section and shall be at an extra cost.
Extra food, milk and fruit juices can be provided for Patients / Bystanders at extra cost.
The food service is by buffet system – Timings of which are as follows:
Morning – 8.00 am-8.30 am
Afternoon – 12.30 pm-1.00 pm
Night – 7.30 pm-8.00 pm
Patient’s who prefer their food to be served in the room should inform nursing station in advance so that it can be organized.
Switching over from buffet to room services & vice versa is not entertained except in case of emergencies.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A PATIENT:
Actively participate in decisions about your health care
Be as accurate and complete as possible regarding your medical history and treatment including specific allergies to any medicines
Let your doctor or nurse know if you are concerned about a treatment or if you cannot follow a certain treatment plan
Follow your doctor's advice regarding your level of activity, diet, and other health care requirements
Be considerate of other patients and staff
Examine your bill and ask any questions you may have regarding charges
Leave all valuables at home whenever possible
Abide by the rules and regulations of the hospital
Entertainment
Yoga & meditation classes are conducted daily between 3 pm - 4 pm.
A Collection of books is available in Hospital Library (3rd floor) for reading purposes.
Spiritual classes & discussion are conducted whenever demanded by the patients
Archana is conducted everyday at 5.00 am
Regular bhajans are conducted between 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm everyday.
Discharge
Advance intimation to the attending Doctor is required if the patient wants an early discharge.
The final bill will be prepared within 24 hrs after receiving intimation.
Discharge medicine prescribed by doctors should be collected by Patient from OP Pharmacy for which payment is to be done at the cash counter.
Once the final bill is ready, patient will be informed and the payment shall be effected at the cash counter and a discharge clearance slip is given.
The patient is permitted to vacate the room after producing the Discharge clearance slip in the nursing counter.
Only Discharge summary & the final bill will be handed over to the patient at the time of discharge.
Split up of bill, Certificates, Attestation of bill, Insurance claims should be requested at least 1 day prior so that it can be arranged at the time of discharge.
The patient is requested to spare few minutes to fill the Feedback form, which helps us to further improve the facilities in the hospital.
